NHS Northamptonshire and Northamptonshire County Council are delighted to confirm that new premises have been identified for the three GP practices previously based at the Gold Street Medical Centre in Wellingborough, which has been vacated due to a serious fire at the building on Saturday 15 May.

Important: Repeat prescriptions |

For Wellingborough patients:
Patients can now take their repeat prescriptions to their usual pharmacy ( or pharmacy of choice). The pharmacy will then arrange collection of prescription and the medication can be picked up in 3-4 days time.

Firefighters called to Gold Street Medical Practice |

We are sorry to inform you that firefighters were called to the Gold Street Medical Centre in Wellingborough late on Saturday evening to deal with a fire that had started at the premises. Unfortunately, the building has been declared unsafe and services will need to be relocated.

The Abbey Medical Practice, with surgeries in Wellingborough and Earls Barton is developing a new look as well as moving to a new location in 2011 on the Isebrook Hospital site. From now on we shall be known as the Abbey Medical Practice. To coincide with the move we are also keen to improve communication with our patients starting with our new website. We want to implement improvements to patient convenience by introducing online appointment booking and prescription ordering as well as keeping you informed of Practice news and important announcements.
As always, our Doctors and staff seek to provide the highest level of care for all our patients. We also wish to develop a partnership between our patients and the professionals involved in your care. We hope that the information contained on this website will help you make the best use of our services.
