Appointments
All consultations are by appointment and should be booked through the receptionist at the appropriate surgery. Please make a separate appointment for each patient.
Appointments are booked at 10 minute intervals but we realise that some problems may take longer than others. If the surgery does not run strictly to time, please be patient.
If you think your problem is likely to take more than 10 minutes or you have more than one problem that needs to be dealt with, please inform the reeceptionist when phoning and she will allocate more time.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel it in good time so that we can offer it to someone else. We (and our patients) lose upto 60 or more appointments every week due to patients not turning up on pre-booked appointments.
A doctor or nurse practitioner will always see genuine urgent cases but you may be asked to wait, so please be patient. During urgent consultations we will not be able to discuss other 'non-urgent' problems. When making any appointment you will be asked the nature of the problem; this is to help us to allocate you the most appropriate, available clinician.

Urgent Appointments
Telephone Advice
When we do call back, should there be no answer we will expect you to telephone the surgery once again. We cannot undertake to continually call you until we get an answer.
Home Visits
Visits are normally made after morning surgery and can take considerabaly longer than a consultation at the surgery. For this reason it remains the Practice policy that all non-housebound patients attend the surgery.
When requesting a visit, you may be asked a few questions about the problem; this helps the Doctors to assess the urgency of the visit so that they can plan their rounds to see more urgent cases first.
