Firefighters called to Gold Street Medical Practice |
We are sorry to inform you that firefighters were called to the Gold Street Medical Centre in Wellingborough late on Saturday evening to deal with a fire that had started at the premises. Unfortunately, the building has been declared unsafe and services will need to be relocated.
The medical centre is the base for 3 GP practices – Our practice(Abbey Medical Practice), Dr Datta & Partners and Dr Patel & Partners.
We are working with NHS Northamptonshire to identify alternative accommodation.
For Monday 17 May and Tuesday 18 May, all routine appointments have been cancelled and patients requiring urgent care from their GP are asked to call their practice on their usual numbers:-

Due to a high volume of calls and these numbers having single lines, there is a chance that you might not get through soon. In this case, please call 03336 664 664 (Nenedoc) and you will get through to us faster. This is a temporary arrangement but should facilitate faster communication.
GPs will be available throughout the day to offer telephone triage advice and patients that need to be seen will be advised to attend alternative local sites where their GPs will be available.
From Wednesday, 19th of May, Abbey Medical Practice is providing limited routine surgeries for our patients. These are based at our Earls Barton site and Castle Unit in Isebrook Hospital.
The other 2 surgeries will be providing alternate locations which can be found out by calling the relevant practice.
All patient records are safe & secure and we are working to resume routine services as soon as possible. We will keep you updated via this website and the local media.
