Contacting the Practice via Telephone

We are experiencing a tremendous amount of phone calls between the hours of 08.00 and 10.00 Monday to Friday.

This is incredibly frustrating for everyone as patients are in a queue to access our service and unable to speak with a member of the Patient Services Team immediately.  We have 8 staff answering the telephones in the morning and they work incredibly hard to help our patients in a timely manner. This is in addition to the Secretarial and Prescribing Team.

Please help us manage the call volumes.  Many of the calls are for non urgent enquiries. May we ask patients, who have queries relating to their COVID vaccination or other general enquiries, to contact us via our website  “Ask a Receptionist a Question”.  This will enable us to provide assistance to those who have a medical need.

It is imperative that we receive phone calls relating to appointments only between the hours of 08.00 to 9.30 and 13.30 to 15.00.  Thereafter we are able to help our patients with general enquiries and urgent appointment requests.
