We are currently vaccinating patients within Cohort 6 with underlying health conditions age 16 to 64. This group of patients is by far the biggest cohort of patients that require vaccinating. Invites have been sent to patients within this group age 50+ and we have a further 600 patients to vaccinate.
Unfortunately, we have not been advised of a date for our next delivery of vaccinations to enable us to invite the above patients for an appointment.
NHS England have sent letters to patients age 60 to 64, without underlying health conditions, requesting appointments to be made at Royal Pavilion, Moulton Park. We understand our patients frustrations as they wish to be vaccinated as soon as possible and I can only apologise that supplies of vaccinations to General Practice have not been sufficient enough for us to vaccinate everyone sooner.
This vaccination gives us all so much hope for our future. Hope for our own health, as we are protected against this awful disease. For our loved ones health, who we are all so desperate to see and hug. And a return to some form of normality where we can be free to do what we want, when we want.
Our staff continue to work extremely hard to support all of our patients at this very difficult time. They too, have been deeply impacted over the last year, and yet every single day they come to work to help and support you, the patient. They have been subjected to so much verbal abuse it makes a difficult job even harder. Please be kind to them.
