Patient Action Group

What is a Patient Action Group (PAG)?

Do you want to have a say in the way your Practice works? A PAG would consist of a group of registered patients who are representative of our practice population at large. The meeting is facilitated by the Practice Manager. The group meets regularly to discuss issues and ways of improving services for the benefit of patients. Meetings are held six times a year. Minutes of meetings are available upon request.

What issues would a PAG look at?

A PAG could work with the Practice on issues such as access to appointments, both same day and routine, will also look at issues such as continuity of care, the range of skills available, mechanisms to access the practice services. The issues to look at would be discussed and agreed between the PAG and the Practice.

What then?

Once the priority areas are agreed, the Practice would undertake and collate surveys, discuss the survey results, agree action plans and publicise those actions on the Practice website.

OK, I’m interested, what do I do?

Meetings are held every other month at Mannock Medical Centre.

In order to best represent our patient population, we are looking for younger patients, including parents of young children and patients from ethnic minorities. Please get in touch with our Operations Administrator via the Register with the PAG form, if you would like to join the Patient Action Group
